Connecting With Our East Harlem Neighbors
Preferred Pharmacy was proud to join the Taft Resident Association Family Day in East Harlem on August 1, 2026. The event brought neighbors and families together for a day of community activities, conversation, and local resources.
Our team spent the day meeting residents, answering health-related questions, and providing blood pressure checks for members of the community. It was a great opportunity to connect with the people and families who make East Harlem such a special community.

As part of Family Day, the Preferred Pharmacy team offered blood pressure checks and spent time speaking with residents about everyday health concerns.
The team also shared information about diabetes, proper nutrition, and medication management, giving community members an opportunity to ask questions and connect directly with members of our pharmacy team.

Health Education, Medication Support & Community Connections
Throughout Family Day, the Preferred Pharmacy team had the opportunity to speak directly with residents about their health, medications, and everyday wellness. Conversations included diabetes and nutrition, medication organization, medication synchronization, and other questions community members wanted to discuss with our team.
Maribel spoke with residents about Medication Synchronization (Med Sync), demonstrated blister packaging as a way to help organize medications, and helped provide blood pressure checks during the event.
Preferred Pharmacy also helps patients stay organized with medication packaging options, including blister packs and pill packs.
